Paulton's youngsters went out to a more experienced Wellington side despite a very good display.
Rovers had the better of early play and Tyler Kingman drove a shot across the goal area.
Kingman gave Paulton the lead on 21 minutes fastening on to a loose ball and slotting the ball into the net.
Wellington levelled after 34 minutes as Sam lever cut in from the left and his cross sailed past Reg Watkins in the home goal.
A minute later Watkins saved a fierce shot by Jordan Sellick.
The second half saw Sam Metcalf bring a fine save from Wellinton stopper Jared Holder. The visiors then had two geat chances as James Kitson missed the target with a header and then shot wide.
Lewis Bond-Kendall tested Holder then found Metcalf whose shot on target was deflected for a corner.
Rovers missed a series of chances that should have see them take the match.
However with three minutes left sub Chandler Enticknap evaded several lunging tackles to chip past Watkins to seal the winner for Wellington.

Paulton Rovers confirm that the new youth team manager is Josh Hurst and he will be assisted by Jon Filer.
Josh a former Radstock Town player is studying for his UEFA B licence and involved in youth development whilst Jon Filer has been involved in the club for many years in the youth team then manager of the Sunday XI for whom he is a regular. He also is part of the 'Filer' ground staff.
